All toll plazas will be removed from the highway within 6 months, now toll collection will be like this

All risk forecourts will be removed from the trace within 6 months, now risk collection will be like this

New system will be implemented in 6 months

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari says that the new risk system will fully exclude FASTag scanning and cash payment at risk forecourts. With the preface of this system, vehicles won't need to stop for risk payment and will also get relieve of business logjams on the trace. He said that they will apply the new system by removing risk forecourts from all roadways and roadways within six months.

During an assembly session in the Rajya Sabha, Gadkari said the transport ministry is working on new options like satellite- grounded risk system, which will dis benefit the risk quantum from a motorist’s bank account through the GPS installed in his auto. He also suggested an indispensable way to follow a motorized system, which would read the number plate of a motorist’s vehicle for risk collection. He also said that number plate reading is another system of risk collection which he prefers.

The central government is working on both these options and one of these two styles will be perfected in a month. In order to apply such an advanced system of risk collection, the central government will introduce a bill in the Parliament, which will also include the duty of penalties for those who fail to pay the risk duty.

Speaking in Parliament, Gadkari also lauded the FASTag- grounded risk collection, which uses the RFID system for risk collection. He said that the diurnal risk collection of the National Highways Authority of India is around Rs 120 crore per day. He also said that since the launch of risk collection through FASTag, around5.56 crore FASTag have been issued to the general public.

The FASTag system of risk collection was introduced in 2019 as an trouble to reduce the long ranges at risk forecourts. While this idea proved effective in paying risk quantum digitally, it has not fully answered the problem of decongestion at risk forecourts. There are numerous cases where there are long ranges of trains despite the perpetration of FASTag system.

The central government seems to have understood this concern and is working on chancing a better volition in the form of two new styles mentioned by Nitin Gadkari. The new mode of risk collection is anticipated to be introduced within the coming six months.

Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari lately said in a Rajya Sabha session that he's the “ father of risk duty ” on roadways in the country. The Union minister had constructed the first risk- tested road in Maharashtra during his term as Minister of State in the late 1990s.
